Dakota commission arrives in St Paul for Canton trip

In St Paul on Saturday the Dakota commission planned a Canton trip via Southern Minnesota road with a return by Monday midnight. Local reporters and Dakotans, including Nash Gale and Pettigrew, mingle as Canton expects 200 to 500 visitors next Tuesday and no final outcome is known. Brady is executed at 8 05 PM with a large crowd watching.

Capital commissioners head to Canton for talks

Albert Lea reports the capital commissioners left St Paul for Canton via Southern Minnesota R R and expect to arrive at 7 oclock Tuesday. Forty five guests accompany them including Hon J C Burrows of Michigan. Proposals are said to come from Odessa and Bismarck with North Dakotans urging a move to North Dakota.

Wells commission moves to North Dakota bids

Wells Minnesota news notes the commission will open bids in Canton then visit Bismarck Odessa and Jamestown before deciding site. Three towns plan to bid tomorrow. adjourned meeting set for Tuesday noon. Likely decision postponed to next week. Wheat prices and local items follow.

Mississippi Steamship Burns at Seattle Wharf

The iron steamship Mississippi, owned by the Oregon Transportation Co., burned here today in Seattle Washington with four hundred tons of coal on board. The vessel suffered extensive fire damage and was reported to be a total loss. No injuries were immediately stated.

Cyclone spelledges Missouri and Kansas towns in ruins

A cyclone in southwestern Missouri Sunday wrecked several houses at Liberty and farm buildings nearby, toppled fences, and uprooted trees. Capt. John Thompson was severely hurt and his horse killed as a barn collapsed. The steamer Bright broke from moorings near Missouri City and grounded on a sand bar. Severe damage reported near Pattensburg and two houses destroyed at Troy Kansas. Orenoga reportedly totally destroyed with injuries. prostrated wires hinder details.

Brady Hanged in Dublin Prison Front Yard

In Dublin at 8 o'clock this morning Joe Brady was hanged after rising at 6. A large crowd gathered outside the prison while a guard of infantry cavalry and police kept order. Canon Kennedy and Father O'Reilly gave the condemned man the last rites.

A man named Reuben Duie near Battle Creek is suspected of abducting Tommy Hillock of Huron Dakota. The case is under investigation as correspondence from Detroit notes the new matter to Huron residents.
