Collision sinks City of Brussells in Irish Channel
The Inman line steamer City of Brussells from New York to Liverpool collided with the Kirby Hall of Glasgow in fog on the Irish Channel and sank. Ten people died including two passengers, eight crew members perished, Italian steerage passengers among the victims, as boats were launched and some crew remained aloft to safety before the disaster.
