Decoto Holy Rosary Church announces its annual three day festival at the multi purpose Our Lady of the Rosary hall. Volunteers including Mary Cordura Sulla Caldeira and Helen Hedrick coordinate booths dinners cake sales and raffles. The event opens Friday with booth sales and a Saturday dine event featuring a large program and a Sunday dinner.

Miss Beverly Costa daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Costa 841 High Street Hayward is crowned queen of the Holy Ghost Festival. Festivities begin tonight with a dance at Ashland Hall on Kent Avenue with a parade to St Jobs Church at 10 a.m. tomorrow followed by the frer soupas served to the public.
The Sisters of the Presenta tion will preside over St. John's parish school booking in the rear of the church this fall and will be honored at a reception tea and linen shower tomorrow at 1 pm in the par hall on Lewelling boulevard. Eden Congregational Church prepares for a Fall Festival on Oct 25. Women will sponsor a nickel-sepoon dinner and run river booths with aprons and fancy wares. Men's club will sell wares at additional booths. All church groups participate. Event begins in the afternoon and continues into evening with a dinner served from 5 pm.
