Peking Radio accused the Soviet Union of sharing Communist secrets with Washington and reneging on a pledge to help China manufacture nuclear weapons. The broadcast compared Soviet actions to Hitler and said Moscow’s stance was a gift to the United States. It cited 1959 onward withholding of technical aid and noted officials in Washington predicted a distant nuclear capability for China.

PORTERVILLE police repelled a large cyclist visit during a busy Northern California weekend.
