Muir Home Bill Pushed for National Historic Site
A House subcommittee on national parks heard support Thursday for a bill to designate the John Muir home at Martinez California as a national historic site. Proponents Edward Munns Harriett Kelly and Rep John Boldwitz testified. The measure would authorize the acquisition of 2 acres including Muirs Martinez home where he lived from 1890 until his death in 1914 and the Martinez adobe home.
