Ten Thousand American Jews Volunteer for Israel
A large number of American Jews have volunteered to assist Israel amid the conflict. Estimates indicate about 10,000 volunteers, mostly ages 15 to 24, may be sent to kibbutzim and farms. They will cover their own travel costs about 450 dollars each. Fundraisers raised over 150 million dollars for United Jewish Appeal and related efforts.
