Youths Held by Police for 1500 Dollar Bicycle Theft Fire

A bedroom closet blaze at 26179 Cine Avenue in Haylward early Saturday caused minor facial burns to Mrs Eveleen Britz and about 1500 dollars in damage. Firemen said the fire destroyed the front seat of a 1940 coupe and charred the bedroom floor. Britz, who was searching for her children, was treated by a neighbor and her husband works as an accountant in Niles. A grass fire later burned three acres near Sot hillsiide as Donald Dickinson of 109 Arbutus court attempted to burn rubbish. no personal or secret damage reported.

Son finds mother dying in home in Hayward
