Typical American male a wet noodle says counselor
San Francisco report notes that many husbands are passive and exhausted after work, using dinner, alcohol, and TV as a retreat. Dr. Pierre Morell argues lack of active father models, industrialization, and shifting roles fuel marital tension and a longing for more from marriage. Folger Cuts Coffee Prices Across Ground and Instant
Folger Coffee Co. reduced wholesale prices to 3.18 a pound for ground coffee and 66 per 10 ounce jar for instant, lowering ground by 20 cents and instant by three cents an ounce. The move follows declines in imported green coffee and will take about 60 days to filter to retail. The cut, second in a month, is part of ongoing pricing shifts by Folger, a Procter & Gamble division. In San Francisco, MIA Co. matched the 20 cent ground coffee reduction to 3.18 a pound effective yesterday.
