Milton Gross dies local PG E manager in Hayward
Milton E. Gross 58 longtime Hayward area manager for Pacific Gas and Electric Co died today at Eden Hospital Castro Valley after a heart ailment. He had served on Hayward public works and the Alameda County services commission since 1957 and was recently reappointed. Gross came to Hayward in 1957 as manager of the Mission District area and earlier led Berkeley and Martinez operations. He was a Visalia native, a Fresno High School graduate, and joined the utility in 1924, later its merger with PG&E. He lived at 22214 Marsicanos Prospect Street Hayward and leaves union and civic ties. ongoing sewage project contracts and city negotiations were noted.
