Hayward Man Found Dead In Wreckage
A 39 year old Hayward longshoreman Fred Zimmerling missing since November 15 en route to Eureka was found dead in a car wreck north of Garberville Humboldt County. The driver Hugh MacDonald of Eureka also died. The bodies were found by L W Cornelius of Eureka who followed the men’s San Francisco to Eureka route. The Zimmerlings were to celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary. Funeral services will be handled by the International Longshoremen and Warehousemen union and held in San Francisco.

San Francisco police report 35 year old Bill Bradley, a KPIX television newscaster, killed instantly at 4:50 AM after being struck while near a stalled Porsche on Portola Drive near Glen View.
