Man's Body Found Tied To Vessel
SAN LEANDRO The body of Me 2-year old son of Me Hodennisle was found tied to a sunken boat off Berkeley fishing pier by Coast Guard searchers. Albert Asker, son of Mr and Mrs Lewis Asker, 1753 10th Ave, San Leandro, was found lashed to a borrowed 14-foot boat less than a mile from the pier. The boat sank in eight feet of water after undetermined reasons. A Coast Guard helicopter towed the boat and Asker's body to shore. His companion, Foy Webster, 27, of El Sobrante, is still missing. Funeral services for Asker are at East Lawn Chapel in Chris Horn, Me Washington Ave.
