Mother saves boy as gasoline fire engulfs Fremont home

A one year old boy playing with a dog in a Fremont garage is fatally scorched after a gasoline can ignites. His mother Caroline Palfreyman drags him outside and blankets him, but the blaze spreads to the house. The child is in serious condition at Alta Bates Hospital with severe burns.
