Morgan, a 21 year old painter, was jailed today on charges after admitting firing a shot at a crowd during a dance hall incident. The victim, Mrs Violet Watson, 44, was struck as Morgan returned to the scene last night and claimed he thought he might have to use the weapon. Morgan said he carried the gun to the venue hoping to deter trouble.
Ambulance crew responded to a crash on C and Main Street leaving Mrs Heatrice Rivera 25 a teafretcher with minor injuries. Hayward officer Manin Eros and fireman Matt Jiminez assisted a crying 4 year old daughter held by the officer during arrival of the ambulance to Fairmont hospital. Both victims were treated and released.
