Kemper Found Guilty and Sane in Eight Killings
A Santa Cruz jury found Edmund Emil Kemper guilty and sane in the eight murders including his mother. The 25-year-old, previously convicted at 15, was ruled sane on eight counts of first degree murder. Sentencing was set for Friday at 9:30 a.m. Brauer presided as Kemper, tall and 200 pounds in orange, remained impassive.
