Planning panel rejects Toro 71 unit project on Second Street
Mayward-Hayward planning commissioners rejected Toro Development Companys plan for a 71 unit equestrian style apartment complex on a 10 acre site north of Campus and Oakes drives. The 4 1 vote followed neighborhood opposition over traffic and rural character. Residents cited a PG E easement counted toward density and objected to added traffic on the largely unimproved Second Street. Commissioner Jim Harper dissented.
