Paraplegic van crash survivor found after long ordeal

Washington with the Agriculture Department reporting April’s market basket cost for an average three-person family rose 1.8 percent to a record 1480 dollars. The gain was the smallest since the price boom began four months ago and was led by higher middleman charges rather than farmers. Beef prices hit new retail highs as pork eased, while farm values fell for some meats but rose for wheat and produce. The farmer’s share slipped to about 44.2 cents of the consumer dollar as packing and supermarket costs rose.
