Las Vegas Air Race Fun Time For All
A large crowd gathers as the Hayward Las Vegas air race draws pilots and spectators for a weekend of aviation fun. Sixty planes flew at one minute intervals at Hayward Air Terminal and 400 more joined later for the award ceremonies. Kris Kotsuris of Leandro won the fifth annual air race by sharply estimating fuel use, finishing 11 seconds from the target time.
