Deputies at Hayward substation mark a burglary at Tennyson grammar school as juvenile-related. A thief entered by a side door before dawn, pried open the principal’s desk with a screwdriver, ignored valuable movie equipment, and stole a one dollar padlock from Principal Robert Spence’s desk. The incident was reported Thursday morning.
