Seven injured in multiple Southern Alameda County crashes
One man died when his truck was struck by a Southern Pacific train at Basine Avenue Cen terville. Police reported seven others injured in separate Alameda County highway incidents. The fatality was Clemente Tamayo Nicolas, 48, of Basine Avenue Cen terville. Train engineer Glen E Barker, 80, of San Francisco, said his light and whistle were functioning.
