Bids Called for New San Lorenzo School Plants

Work nears completion on an $80,000 five classroom plus admin building at one site with May 15 occupancy. A $108,000 Colonial Acres plant rises on Merkland avenue under Cannon Construction. Future facilities include Edendale, colonial Acres, Washington Manor, Halcyon drive, and a total of 22 elementary plants funded by a $250 million statewide school bond plan. Edendale will be eighth, Colonial Acres ninth, Washington Manor tenth, Halcyon drive eleventh in the district.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Annie Bell Ayres were conducted today at the Residence Chapel of Hayward Mortuary 297 Castro Street by Rev. Oger Rich of the Four Square Full Gospel Church.
