Newark Street Repair Study Targets 106 Miles Of Roads
Newark study lists 68 miles of deficient streets including Baine Maple Wells and Thornton avenues with plans for district No. 2 funds of 32 million dollars. Nelson says heavy traffic and rising costs drive need for improvements though some corridors are currently in good condition. Project aims to widen Cedar Boulevard and central routes to accommodate daily traffic now exceeding six to eight thousand cars.
