California governor Ronald Reagan announced he will not seek the U S Senate in 1974. He said he will devote the next two years to his administration goals and tax relief for Californians, while not closing the door on a presidential bid in 1976.

Viet Cong released a list of 32 prisoners including 27 military personnel seven civilians and one Australian to be freed in Hanoi on Friday. The total POWs slated for release this week reaches 140 with about three quarters freed by Friday. At Clark Air Base officials said three giant planes would fly 108 Americans from Hanoi with arrivals beginning about 4 50 p m Wednesday and continuing through Thursday and Friday. The release follows a cease fire pledge requiring repatriation of all U S prisoners and a deadline of March 28 for remaining troops to leave South Vietnam.
Robby McKeesee disappeared from Albuquerque on May 1 1970 to repair his car. His sister says he later resurfaced as a POW listed by North Vietnam, with unclear capture details. He claimed a military past including Korea Bronze Star and paratrooper service.
