Death Takes Gilbert Ray of Village
Gilbert Ray 30 a resident of San Lorenzo Village died at 1 30 p m at Storfond Lane hospital in Sen Franels ea after several months illness. Death was from complications of disease and heart ailment. Ray led the San Lorenzo community and was a Calvary Lutheran Church member. He helped complete a winding project at Vila Magelatona and served as secretary of the Men’s group of the congregation. Surviving are his widow Margaret two children Mary Dorn 7 and Arthur 4 his parents Mr and Mrs Arthur Ci Ray of Ochevads Iowa and one sister Mrs Marie Truckenmilley. Funeral services Sunday at 2 p m at Calvary Lutheran Church Ve Inge with Rev W A Thotle in charge. The body will lie in state 12 30 to 2 p m at the chapel. Memorial contributions to the church are requested. Remains will be shipped to Iowa Sunday night for rites there Wednesday. Ray was a native of Missouri.

A deadly house fire at Grow Canyon Road destroyed a two family home just before noon. Jimmy Huw, about a year old, died trapped in flames as Mrs Mary N Elliot and Mrs Mary E Hunt suffered burns while escaping. Man Escapes Serious Injuries In Rail Collision
