Variable cloudiness and chance of showers continue through the day with generally fair conditions tonight and tomorrow. Tonight’s low 35 to 45 degrees, with west to northwest winds at 25 to 40 mph.
Statewide weather updates show showers in the Bay Area today clearing by night with fair Saturday and high near 40s in parts. Northern California as well as the Sierra report snow in mountains, cool Saturday, with coastal and wind advisories and low 30s to 40s statewide.

Four contractors from Green River area were injured when their twin engine plane crashed during a snowstorm while attempting to land six miles southeast of Delta Utah. The crash left three men in very critical condition, with others in serious or satisfactory condition at Delta hospital. The group was associated with Atlantic Research and had been flying from Green River.
