Two San Lorenzo youths damage Eden Center windows

Two 13 year old boys from San Lorenzo were found breaking windows at the Ten Recreation Center on Elgin Street Astrand. Alameda Man Held on Charge of Kidnaping and Attack

An Alameda man Edgar O Ward, 32, was held at the Hayward sheriff's sub station for investigation of criminal attack after allegedly kidnapping a 21 year old woman from her sailor boyfriend. The woman claimed Ward attacked her and outlined a driving sequence with a taxi driver witness. Ward denies intent, saying the woman asked to ditch the sailor and was complicit. Reds Driven From Changdong Front In Major Battle

United States 7th Division infantry and tanks smashed the North Korean 15th Division near Changdong five miles northwest of Pangnim. An artillery barrage and bayonet assault destroyed a large portion of the enemy, with about 250 Reds reported killed.
