Livermore trustees push for a bond election in 1974

Livermore trustees signal a school bond and tax election likely in 1974 to restore depleted reserves. With beginning balances shrinking to about 445000 for 1973-74 and forecasts of near zero for 1974-75, officials expect limited state aid and inflation to drive the need for new funding. The board also plans a July 10 site tour for Sunset Elementary to acquire or lease the Heidelberg Heidelberg Drive site, potentially using district fees.
