Aqueduct Budget Talks Focus On Water Purchases
ACWD directors meet at 7:30 p.m. at district headquarters to discuss the 1963 1964 budget and aqueduct water purchases. They consider halving requested 22 000 acre feet, carrying over 9 000 acre feet, and aim to hold the 28 cent tax rate while trimming the preliminary 2.6 million dollar budget by about 120 000 dollars. Negotiations with the state may reopen if more water is needed in early 1964.
