Andy Devine in serious condition
Andy Devine, 78, veteran actor in Western films and TV, was reported in serious condition today at a hospital where he is treated for kidney failure and pneumonia. He fell ill Sunday while at the Bohemian Grove encampment in the Redwood Forest near Guenneville on the Russian River, and has appeared for Ronald Reagan during California’s recent primary campaign.

Burglar Finds Key Strips Kentfield Home Of Rich Loot
A burglar used a key left by a carpet cleaner to raid Sharon Nolte's Kentfield residence. About $125,000 in art antiques and a Mercedes were stolen along with oriental rugs, paintings, telescopes, TVs and chess sets. Police say pry marks were found at the kitchen door. Nolte is wife of San Francisco attorney John Nolte.
