Daughter aids in mom's arrest in stabbing case
A tape recorded account by a child led to the arrest of Gloria Paxman for fatally stabbing her niece Nicki Press. Paxman, 18, is charged after authorities allege she killed the girl during a dispute over food and later hid the body in a Solano County field and burned evidence. The child's testimony to her grandmother Celin Hastings aided investigators. Paxman is due back in court June 22.
