Celebrations honor Vacaville couple and Bicentennial Woman nominee
In Vacaville two celebrations honored former Hayward man Michael Singleton and his Auburn bride Julie Griffin with a Nut Tree luncheon and a wedding ceremony at Julie's parents home. Julie's former roommate and Michael's daughter were involved, and the couple planned trips to Tahoe and Los Angeles before Montana business travel. Also noted is Kay Christopher of San Leandro, nominated as Bicentennial Woman of the Year in Yuba City for her teaching, mechanical, and ecologist achievements, plus self-reliant skills and plumbing proficiency.
