Second DDT Spraying on Colville Unit Near Grand Coulee Dam
The second DDT spray for tussock moths occurred Wednesday on 3,000 acres of the Colville Unit near Grand Coulee Dam in eastern Washington. About 2,500 acres are public forest and 160 belong to private forest. Eggs have begun hatching. spraying may begin soon in Oregon and Idaho with no plans yet for those states this week. No jail for boy who shot dad in Wisconsin

Murder suspects arrested in Portland by FBI

AP reports a lone man robbed a Crocker Bank branch in Ukiah of 15000 dollars and held manager Bill Hollen hostage briefly before being arrested by Sonoma County deputies north of Healdsburg.
