Parade plans for June 5 mark the biggest local event as San Lorenzo Village hosts a 1:30 p.m. parade starting at David F. Marlin School. Color guards, veteran units, floats, and marching groups from Alameda County and Hayward areas will march along Paseo Grande and Paseo Larvista with trophies from the Village Merchants Association and Greenwood Corp. Midnight three alarm fire drives tenants onto street
A three alarm blaze in a San Francisco Duries apartment house forced 60 tenants to flee onto Broderick Street shortly before midnight. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at 7500 dollars.
