Final Action Due For Park Land
Sacramento special to the Review reports a bill to spend 1,314,000 dollars to buy 1450 acres for two state parks in Southern Alameda County. Senate action was pending after the Senate Finance Committee approved the proposal despite slim odds. Despondent widow shoots children then herself in Arkansas
In North Little Rock Arkansas widow Mary Sharp 36 shot her three sons aged 13 to 7 in the head then killed herself. The children were found alive by a grandmother and rushed to surgery while the mother left a note saying she loved them and left funeral wishes in a will detailing for herself and the sons.

Crash Kills 12 Workers Near Rocky Ford Colorado
Twelve migrant farm workers from the Rocky Ford area were killed when a pickup truck hauling others to a sugar beet field was struck by a Santa Fe Railway freight train at a crossing near Vroman Colorado.
