Awards Set For Teen Driving Road Contest At Castro Valley
Castro Valley CV Chamber of Commerce will honor winners of a Teen Age Driving Road contest at 7 30 pm tonight at 268 Castro Valley Boulevard. First prize went to Don Korock and second to Dan Graydon with other placements earning money orders. The Scuderia Volvo Club earned the best car club trophy. Automobiles entered included Memorial Daily Chevrolet Choyanes Ford and Peabody Motors of San Leandro.

Maid of Union City Becomes Local Beauty Queen
Anne Nievas sixteen is named Maid of Union City after winning a local beauty contest despite a bruised leg. She will represent Union City at the Alameda County contest and host Union City Day at the Pleasanton fair. Nievas acts as junior class treasurer next fall and belongs to the Girls Athletic Association and Night Owls club. Her father Aurio Nigras leads a local construction firm.
