Causes Of Fatalities Under Study In California
California Highway Patrol and the California State Car Owners' Assn will study single vehicle crashes to assess carbon monoxide, alcohol, and drug roles. Patrol Commissioner Brailford M. Crittenden said 20 counties, including Alameda, will participate with coroners conducting post mortems to detect CO, alcohol, and drugs. The aim is to better understand sleep related crashes and overall accident toll.
