Eugene Maddy Jr a four year old son of a Hayward roofing contractor died at Highland hospital from pneumonia complications. Fire crews were summoned to 653 Linden Street last night as the child worsened after a cold. An ice truck delivered oxygen to the home from 10 45 p m until his death at 6 30 am. His mother Mary called for an ambulance when he failed to respond.
