Death Toll Hits 19 In Truck Crash Near Fayetteville
In Fayetteville North Carolina a truck collision that involved migrant farm workers pushed the death toll to 19 tying the nation’s worst truck accident on record. The crash injured 16 and left many in critical condition as doctors warned the death count could rise to 20. The latest victim, identified as Gary a man in his late twenties, died at Highsmith Hospital. Twelve of the dead were Black. two died in the wreckage and five died later in hospital. Willie Solomon of Florence DC said he will never get over it.
