Father and two sons die in flaming crash near Mariposa
Frank William Machado 18 of Hayward died when his motorcycle collided head on with a pickup on Russell Road near Clawster Street. John B. Vasser 41 of Castro Valley and his two sons Ronald 16 and Robert 13 were killed 18 miles west of Mariposa on Highway 140 after their car swerved into the opposite lane and rammed a pickup driven by Vincent Pokoviedh of Watsonville. The fatally injured were pinned in the wreckage and burned.
