Rebels Free Hostages At Oklahoma Prison Riot End

About 150 rebel inmates at Oklahoma State Prison released all 11 hostages after surrendering. Gov. David Hall arrived to meet inmate leaders as National Guard and guards restored order. The revolt ended after 17 hours 49 minutes with a negotiated settlement in the dining hall.

Possible fuel leak noted aboard Apollo Skylab mission

CAPE KENNEDY Fla AP four American astronauts reported a possible fuel leak aboard the Apollo ship during inspection of the Skylab laboratory. Commander Alan Bean said we saw sparklers near the right window and other crew members described particles like frost or fine rain as engines were tested. Mission Control monitored instruments as four jet engines were shut and a suspected leak studied, with no danger to the crew.

BART Talks Continue Amid Nightlong Wage Settlement Efforts
