Negro Workers Spend Day On Street Corner
Hollywood Florida scene shows unemployed African American men waiting on street corners for daily work. Drivers bid for labor at $1.05 to $2.00 hourly, with no social security or unemployment benefits. Many see limited full time chances due to racial barriers, while some earn sporadic pay and struggle to feed families.
