MVNA forecasts show a fair day through tomorrow with night and morning fog and some high clouds. Temperatures little changed with a low tonight from 80 to 93 degrees. Winds will be westerly at 12 to 4 miles per hour in the afternoon.
San Francisco Bay Area sees occasional high cloudiness with fog near the coast and mild temperature changes. Temperatures range from 59 in San Francisco to 79 in San Rafael with westerly winds 12 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Northern California shows cloudiness north regions and fair central areas with little temperature change. Shasta to Siskiyou and Sierra Nevada report occasional cloudiness and little temperature change. Sacramento Valley and San Joaquin Valley vary from 85 to 100 in highs with light winds. Salinas Valley remains fair with morning fog north portion and highs around 86 to 98, Salinas 74 to 62, winds W to NW 8 to 15 mph. Monterey Bay area fair with slight temperature shifts. Santa Clara Valley and Hollister show consistent temperatures and light NW winds in the afternoons.
Union leaders rejected Lockheed Aircraft Co. wage increases averaging about six cents an hour for nearly 40,000 aerospace workers. The union called the offer foolish and aligned with similar offers from other firms. regional AFL-CIO and local machinists associations reported strike dates and planned actions in California if contracts are not settled, while other companies were cited offering higher percentages amid industry-wide wage pressures.
