Families fear loss of orphans in Babylift lawsuit
Two Newark and Fremont families faced legal delay as a class action claims the Vietnam Babylift rushed adoptions may have returned children to Vietnam. The Gatleys and Bakers, with a 1 month old boy and a 5 month old girl, cared for their children since last April's airlift. The suit, led by Thom as Miller and the New York Center for Constitutional Rights, argues some so called orphans were not truly available for adoption.
