Market Burglars Arrested in Ashland Theft
Two Oakland men George T. Jackson 22 and Herbert E. Carter 19 were arrested after a traffic stop by an Oakland officer revealed shoes in their car leading to the burglary of the U S Market at Lewelling and Hesperian Boulevard. The break in occurred early Monday with over $1 000 in goods taken. Detective Walt Cordon of the Alameda County sheriff's department said the burglars entered through the front door.
