San Leandro strike at IH plant prompts UAW walkout

San Leandro saw a major strike at the International Harvester pint by nearly 650 United Auto Workers Local 7 members joining a UAW walkout involving 40 plants over rates. Production was cut at the Davis Street plant as pickets were allowed through lines.
