PUC Backs Key System in City iService Request

Californians Die In Plane Crash Near Lordsburg
Four Californians returning from a Texas family funeral were killed when their light plane crashed and exploded near Lordsburg New Mexico, three miles from Abimas at dusk. Victims include Kenneth Decker of San Marino and Mrs Monroe Decker of Duarte along with two children. Authorities transported the bodies to Lordsburg.

Hayward Waitress Dies After Car Hits Pole
Hayward waitress Mrs Ann Frances Compton 26 died in a wreck that slammed into a San Leandro street light pole at about 80 mph police said they pursued the speeding sedan for blocks. She was pronounced dead at Fairmont hospital. Also in San Leandro Grace Bush 31 escaped with minor injuries when her car was struck by a Southern Pacific freight train at a Davis street crossing.
