New drug program limits recurrence of breast cancer
Boston based medical researchers report a new drug regimen may drastically cut recurrence after surgery for advanced breast cancer. The NEJM study used a CMP combination of Cyclophosphamide methotrexate and fluorouracil, with prednisone adding potential activity. The report notes recurrence fell to about 5 percent in the studied women.
