Alta Vista man found dead in car suicide linked to marriage breakup
Henry S. Turner a 42 year old Alta Vista resident was found dead in his car with exhaust gas piped into the tightly closed interior. Edward Fraser Turner’s employer reported Turner had been absent about eight days. investigation indicates death by self action, with no note, possibly connected to wife leaving for Indiana. Fraser, Turner’s uncle by marriage, notified authorities. Officials estimate the death occurred seven to eight days prior.

A Stockton woman Marie M Paullian 45 and her 19 year old nephew Floyd M Paulian II were killed in a two car collision on U S highway 40 about 1 1/2 miles east of Dublin in heavy fog and slick pavement. Driver of the other car Paul B Bittner 30 of Kommandorski Village near Pleasanton was injured and taken to hospitals. The crash occurred on a wet road with no skid marks.
