Car Rolls Down Steep Embankment Near Livermore
Three Southern California women escaped serious injury when a rear tire blew out and the car somersaulted down a 350 foot embankment seven miles east of Livermore. The vehicle was completely demolished, with one officer estimating the car flipped four times. In hospital: Ollie Metager of Pasadena with a possible fractured shoulder, Mary Rousselot of San Marin with a possible broken leg, and Jennie Jones of Glendale with minor cuts. Also, a two year old Hayward boy, Bear Gordin, escaped serious harm after falling from a moving car on Foothill Boulevard. Dale Ferguson, 5, remained in serious condition after a collision on Highway 5 between his foster parents and driver Jon M. Lohman, 40.
