Valley Man's Death Seen As Death By Own Action
A 48 year old Castro Valley man Albert Groppe was listed as a probable death by his own action by hanging. His body was found by his wife Christene Groppe at about 10 p.m. in their garage. Groppe, an Alameda county home advisor, left behind two daughters Connie and Lynn. Police described despondency over health and finances. A private physician pronounced death at 10:15 p.m. Detectives said he apparently hanged himself with a rope from a garage rafters and stepped from a fruit crate.
