Phyllis Harrell of Oakland identified the teenager nicknamed Miss Nobody as her daughter Denise Harrell who ran away from Highland Hospital January 30. Denise, believed to have emotional problems, had been taken into custody nearby after hitchhiking and claimed to be Diana Bedford, wife of Dana Bedford, before returning to Oakland with her mother.

At Vand enberg Air Force Base a five foot fishing boat with 20 aboard capsized in the cold Pacific near Pursima Point. Rescuers Save Girls Lost in Snow Near Fish Camp
A UPI report says rescuers braved 36 inch snow Sunday to retrieve three Fresno girls who spent a subfreezing night in T shirts and jeans after wandering from a church outing at the McKinley Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Club members joined the 18-person search near the Sierra Nevada in Madera County. Arlene Gonzales and Connie Armae, both 16, were exposed. Shelly Patton, 18, was in better shape. Daytime warming helped, and all victims are Fresno residents.

Fourth victim of gunman dies in New Mexico
Arizona Patrolman Don Beckstead died Sunday, the fourth and final victim of a California ex convict suspected of murdering a 16 year old girl.
